Gerald entered  the Service from Pennsylvania with service number # 250117.

 

Gerald was KIA  when the ship sunk during the Battle of Coral Sea near Renell Island, on Jan 30, 1943, he is honored with a  Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Gerald is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
