Delbert died of his wounds sustained at the Fights over the Philippines (prob. Manila) on Sep. 9, 1945, he is honored with a Combat Infantry Badge, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Delbert is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
