Charles was KIA on a Bombing Mission to Kiska, the way back the Pilot became disorientated by the bad weather and flew in a other direction on Aug. 25, 1942, he is honored with a Purple Heart, Air Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Distinguished Unit Citation, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.

 

Charles is buried/mentioned at Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu County, Hawaii U.S.A.
