Mother, Louise Ackerman.

 

Ralph enlisted the U.S.Army in Illinois with service number # 294851.

 

Ralph died when he failed to return, there was never heard of him on Jan. 23, 1943,  is honored with a Purple Heart, Distinguished Flying Cross, Combat Action Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Ralph is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
