Father, Charles Acocella.

 

Charles entered  the service from Hartford, Connecticut with service number # 31047576.

 

Charles Acocella Jr. died of his wounds inflicted during the fights over Kananga, the Battle for Leyte, on Dec 26, 1944, and he is honored with the Purple Heart.

 

And he is mentioned/buried at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
