Michael was KIA on the Bombing Mission to Raboul, New Guinea when was hit by FLAK  at the engine’s a swift descend till he crashed on Oct. 5, 1942, he is honored with a  Purple Heart, Silver stad, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.
