Edgar entered  the service from Iowa with service number # 8591542.

 

 

Edgar was KIA  when the USS Liscome Bay was sunk by a Japanese sub I-175, on Nov. 24, 1943, he is honored with a  Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Edgar is buried/mentioned at Honolulu Memorial Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
