Joe entered  the Service from Missisippi with service number # 2742752.

 

Joe was KIA  when the ship was attacked by enemy fighter, on Oct. 15, 1942  on ,  is honored with a  Purple Heart, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Joe is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
