Stephan is born in 1919 in Iowa.

Mother, Edna Adams.

 

Stephan enlisted the U.S.Army in South Dakota with service # 0-409105.

 

Stephan was KIA at Lone Tree Hill, New Guinea during the fights over it on June 23, 1944, he is honored with a  Purple Heart, Distinguished Service Cross Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Stephen is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
