Pat was KIA  when the USS Indianapolis was Torpedoed by an Japanese Sub and sunk, on July 30, 1945 ,  is honored with a Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Pat is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
