Warren was KIA when a Kamikaze hit and Sunk the USS Ommaney Bay, on Jan 4, 1945, he is honored with a  Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Warren is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
