Lloyd entered  the service from Texas with service-number # 5744303.

 

Lloyd was KIA when the USS Ommaney Bay was struck and Sunk by a Kamikaze, on Jan.  4, 1945, he is honored with a Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Lloyd is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
