Jack enlisted the U.S. Army in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on Aug. 7, 1940 with service number # 18002538.

 

 

Jack was KIA  in the fights over Carigara (Leyte), Philippines, on Nov. 9, 1944, he is honored with a  Purple Heart, Combat Infantry Badge, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Jack is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
