The Imperial Japanese began their Invasion in the Philippines on 8 Dec 1941.

The 45th Infantry Regiment resorted to fighting together among American and Filipino forces when compelled to surrender on 9 Apr 1942.

Private First Class Frederico C. Afable became a POW and was imprisoned at Pow Camp no record, he survived the Bataan Death March, but died shortly after it.

 

Frederico is born in the Philippines.

 Frederico enlisted the U.S.Army in Philippines with service number # 10301269.

 

Frederico died as a POW on July 7, 1942, he is honored with a Bronze Star Medal, POW Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Frederico is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
