The Imperial Japanese began their Invasion in the Philippines on 8 Dec 1941.

The 12th Signal Company resorted to fighting together among American and Filipino forces when compelled to surrender on 9 Apr 1942.

Sergeant Cleto Agcamaran became a POW and was imprisoned at Pow Camp O’Donnell, he survived the Bataan Death March, but died shortly after it.

 

Cleto is born in the Philippines.

Cleto enlisted the U.S.Army in Philippines with service number # 6614540.

 

Cleto died as a POW on,May 17, 1942, he is honored with a POW Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Cleto is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
