Edward entered  the Service from California with service-number # 335654.

 

Edward was KIA during the Battle for Guadacanal, Solomons Islands, when the PY-boat towed the Higgins-boat (landincraft-LCVP) increased his speed and the hull split, on Oct. 9, 1942,  he is honored with a Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbom, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Edward is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
