Roy was KIA when  a Japanese Bomb strike  off the coast of Honshu, Japan, on March 19, 1945, he is honored with a Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Roy is buried/mentioned at Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
