Galen enlisted the service in Indiana with service number # 2916575.

 

Galen was KIA during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor , on Dec. 7, 1941, he is honored with a Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Expeditionary Medal, Distinguished Unit Citation, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.

 

Galen is buried/mentioned at Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
