The Imperial Japanese began their Invasion in the Philippines on 8 Dec 1941.

The 57th resorted to fighting together among American and Filipino forces when compelled to surrender on 9 Apr 1942.

Private Tedorico Acenas became a POW and was imprisoned at Pow Camp no record, he survived the Bataan Death March, but died shortly after it.

 

Tedorico is born in the Philippines.

Tedorico enlisted the U.S.Army in Philippines with service number # 10303726.

 

Tedorico died as a POW in Camp no record on June 28, 1942. Private Tedorico Acenas is honored with a POW Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Tederico is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
