Dwayne died in Luzon, defending Philippine soil against the Japanese on Jan. 24 1945, he is honored with a Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.


Dwayne is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
