Joseph enlisted the service in New Jersey with service number # 7071190.

 

Joseph died in the (Pacific) Typhoon “Cobra” when it hit his and two other Ships off Sumar in the Philippine Sea, on Dec. 18, 1944, he is honored with a Combat Action Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Joseph is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
