Mother, Alexandria A. (MacLean) Allen.

 

Donald enlisted the service in Massachusetts with service number # 0-088023.

 

 

Donald was KIA during the assault on Makin Island, when the ship was struck by a torpedo from the Japanese Sub. I-175, and sunk on Nov. 25, 1944, he is honored with a Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with Star, WW II Victory Medal.

 

Donald is buried/mentioned at Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu County, Hawaii U.S.A.
