Dwayne was KIA during attack on a Convoy it probably sunk by a circular run of own torpedo by Formosa Strait on Oct. 25, 1944, he is honored with a Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.


Dwayne is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial Manila, metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
