Harold died of his wounds sustained when the ship was under attak from a kamikaze on Feb. 4, 1942, he is honored with a Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.

 

Harold is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial Manila, metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
