James is born on Sep. 20, 1922 in Logan County, Arkansas.

Mother, Annie E. (Musgrove) Allen.

Brother, Hoyt B. Allen.

 

James enlisted the service in Arkansas with service number # 414596.

 

 

James died of his wounds (according file’s) during the landing on Peleliu, his LVT was hit by a Japanese 20 mm Cannon on Orange Beach in Peleliu, Palau on Sep. 18, 1944, he is honored with a Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.

 

James is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial Manila, metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
