William died during a Cargo/Passenger Mission to Biak, Indonesia  (probably) crashed, on Jan. 29, 1945, Staff Sergeant William G. Allen is honored with a Distinguished Service Cross, Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Cluster, American Campaign medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

William is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region,Philippines.
