Bataan Death March (April 9, 1942)

Pfc. Agustin became a POW an walked (60 miles) the Bataan Death March , Many (together with 70.000 pow) walked this march and many died (aprox.600), lack of nutrition and water) to Prison Camps in the Philippines and he was send to Camp No Record, and became part of a work detail.

 

Santos is born in the Philippines.

Santos enlisted the U.S.Army in Philippines with service number # 6736963.

 

Santos died as a POW on may 26, 1942, he is honored with a POW Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

 

Santos is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial  Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
