Joaquin Aja was Killed in Action when the USS Franklin was bombed by a Japanese Air Plane off the Japanese coast, on March 19, 1945, and he is honored with a Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Army Presidential Unit Citation, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.

 

 

Joaquin Aja is mentioned/buried at Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA.
