The Imperial Japanese army began their Invasion in the Philippines on 8 Dec 1941.

He was made a POW in Camp Cabanatuan, for he went on transport, July 11, 1942 to Japan, Osaka Camp Group, main Chicco (no pictures).

He arrived 10 Days later in Osaka Harbor.

Then transported to his POW Camp Cicco were he died of multiple diseases on Feb. 4, 1943.

 

Wilbur is born approx. on 1922 in Ohio.

Wilbur died as a POW in Camp Osaka, Japan on Feb. 4, 1943, he is honored with a POW Medal, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Distinguished Unit Citation, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.

 

Wilbur is buried/mentioned at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
