Pete was KIA after “Bombs Away” they had Engine trouble, lost altitude and crashed, there where survivors seen in Sea but never heard off on 17 Jan. 1945, he is honored with an Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Cluster, Distinguished Flying Cross, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Army Presidential Unit Citation, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.

 

Pete is buried/mentioned at Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu County, Hawaii U.S.A.
