Ralph was KIA in Limon during the Battle for Leyte, Philippines, on Nov 25, 1944, he is honored with the Purple Heart Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Marksmanship Badge, Expeditionary Medal, American Campaign Medal, Navy & Marine Presidential Unit Citation, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.


Ralph is buried at Teasdale Cemetery, Teasdale, Wayne County, Utah.
