Howard entered  the service from Ohio with service number # 35766592.

 

Howard F. Eaches was a Private First Class in the 162th Infantry Regiment.

 

Howard was KIA in the Fights near Mt. Pulong Bato range near Zamboanga, Philippines, on March 17, 1945, and he is honored with the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Army Presidential Unit Citation, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.

 

Howard is buried at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, Manila, Metro Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines.
