Frank B. Quady was a Pilot/Assistant Officer onboard the U.S.S. Bunker Hill (CV-17) .

 

Frank was KIA while supporting the Iwo-Jima Invasion onboard the USS Bunker Hill who was severely damaged by 2 Kamikaze planes on May 11, 1945, and he is honored with an Distinguished Flying Cross with a Gold Star, Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Army Presidential Unit Citation, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.

Frank is buried at Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Honolulu County Hawaii.

Frank was a  decorated pilot in the Navy, Found that he flown as a Lieutenant at the most Notable Aviation Units (Fighting Squadron Eleven VF-11) of World War2.

Later he became the Assistant Officer onboard the USS Bunker Hill with a other Pilot from the VF-11, Lt. Walter J. Hiebert.
