Robert J. Sabol was a Staff Sergeant Radio Operator in the 62nd Bomber Squadron (B-29).

Robert was Killed in Action during the raid they crashed over Tokyo, on May 24, 1945, he is honored with an Air Medal, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Army Presidential Unit Citation, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.

Robert is buried at Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii.
