Robert was a Seaman 2nd Class in the United States Navy.

 

Robert was KIA when the USS Enterprise was guarding mission when she was hit by three bombs during the Battle off Eastern Solomon’s on Aug. 24, 1942, and he is honored with the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Army Presidential Unit Citation, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal.

 

Robert is buried at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, Manila, Metro Manila,

National Capital Region, Philippines.
