Before the 25th Infantry Division Band was constituted on October 12, 1943, SSgt. Daniel Balduria was in training to form the Band on the Cargo-Ship USS Aludra AK-72 when it was Torpedoed by the Japanese Submarine RO-323, he was rescued but died of his wounds and got a Sea Burial from the USS Skylark AM-63 Minesweeper.

 

Daniel is born approx. on 1897 in the Philippines.
